A prisoner from a jail near Muswellbrook, who's been on the run since late July, has been recaptured in Sydney.
Myles Furgus Wilson was an inmate of St Heliers Correctional Centre.
He was last seen around 2pm on Friday, July 24.
Following an extensive search of the grounds the 58-year-old could not be found and was reported as an escapee to Hunter Valley Local Area Command.
Police from Sutherland Local Area Command attended a home on Blackwattle Place at Alfords Point around 7pm on Sunday night.
